We are hiring a Director of Sales with full P&L responsibility to lead U.S. revenue growth through strategic brand partnerships and high-impact sales initiatives. This is a critical leadership role with direct influence on our commercial success. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering $10M+ in annual revenue through both direct and agency sales, ideally within top-tier social media publishers or agencies. We’re looking for a decisive, results-driven leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is confident navigating high-stakes negotiations.
Job responsibilities:
- Oversee P&L with a strong focus on revenue growth through strategic brand sales and high-impact partnerships.
- Play a key role in shaping and executing the U.S. sales strategy.
- Lead the expansion of brand partnership services at TheSoul, identifying new opportunities for growth.
- Build and nurture relationships across media, FMCG, toys, entertainment, and creative advertising agencies, with a focus on sectors such as children's food, educational tools, and family-oriented services.
- Drive an increase in RFPs, accelerate the sales cycle, and strengthen client retention and repeat business.
- Optimize deal value and unlock new revenue streams by implementing performance-driven strategies and ambitious goal setting.
- Partner closely with internal teams, including studios and account management, to ensure seamless execution of branded content initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of driving $10M+ in annual revenue through direct and agency sales for top-tier social media publishers or agencies, with a strong focus on kids and family content.
- Expertise in business development, client acquisition, and revenue growth across industries such as toys, children’s media, educational products, and family-oriented services.
- 5+ years of experience leading and mentoring high-performing sales teams, driving strategy and execution.
- 8+ years in sales, account management, or media planning roles, with deep experience in client relationship management and revenue optimization.
- Extensive knowledge of digital media, platform distribution, and industry trends, with a strategic approach to navigating the competitive landscape.
- Strong negotiator with a track record of securing high-value deals and structuring media partnerships.
- Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and close complex sales opportunities, balancing short-term wins with long-term growth.
- Highly organized and results-driven, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional networking and persuasion skills, adept at influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong communicator and collaborator, comfortable working with remote teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
