We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as a Sales Director with P/L responsibility. This role is crucial in driving our revenue growth through strategic brand sales and partnerships. The ideal candidate will contribute significantly to our sales strategy in the United States, with a focus on increasing RFPs, shortening the sales cycle, improving returning business, boosting revenue per deal, and opening new product verticals.

Responsibilities include establishing strong relationships across major media, FMCG, financial service companies, and creative advertising agencies. As well as collaborating with internal support teams to produce branded content.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue through brand direct and agency sales, with a history of personally delivering $10M in annual revenue for a top social media publisher or agency. 

Exceptional organizational skills, outstanding networking and negotiation abilities, and the capability to communicate and build rapport with a remote team are essential. This role requires a self-reflective manager with strong virtual and in-person presentation skills, and a desire to grow within the organization.

This role is part of a growing organization with significant upward potential. An Account Management team and development studios are already in place to manage project-related client communication and video creation. The right candidate is a motivated self-starter, strategist, and hands-on leader, with excellent communication skills and comfortable working remote and extensive use of project management software.

Job responsibilities:


  • The role involves P/L responsibility with a strong focus on driving revenue via brand sales and partnerships;
  • Contribute to our sales strategy in the United States;
  • Drive increase in RFPs, decrease sales cycle, improve returning business, push revenue per deal and open new product verticals via rigorous performance management and goal setting;
  • Overseeing onboarding, training, and coaching of new team members;
  • Collaborate with support teams like internal studios and account management team to shape and manage the production of branded content;
  • Establish and build relationships across major media, FMCG, and financial service companies as well as creative advertising agencies;


Requirements:

  • Proven track record of driving $10M+ annual revenue through direct and agency sales for top 10 social media publishers or agencies
  • Expertise in discovering, prospecting, and creating new business, as well as growing and retaining existing accounts
  • 4+ years leading high-performing sales teams
  • 6+ years as an account executive, account manager, digital buyer, planner, or strategist
  • Deep knowledge of digital media, formats, platform distribution, and the competitive landscape
  • Skilled in negotiating media landscape terms
  • Proven ability to source, evaluate, negotiate, and close new business opportunities
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent networking and negotiation skills, able to persuade at all levels
  • Effective communicator with remote teams
  • Strong virtual and in-person presentation skills
  • Self-reflective manager with a growth mindset
