Creative Scriptwriting Lead — TheSoul Publishing

Creative Writing Lead will be responsible for overseeing the team of Scriptwriters, driving strategy, ensuring quality, and fostering team growth. This role requires a blend of creative expertise, leadership skills, and industry knowledge to deliver compelling content across various platforms.


Job responsibilities:

  • Manage the team of writers;
  • Develop and implement quarterly strategies for article and scriptwriting.
  • Maintain quality through regular feedback from Production, supporting scriptwriters and authors, and suggesting improvements.
  • Innovate new script and article formats in collaboration with Production.
  • Design strategies for content reuse and efficiency.
  • Conduct market research for writing tools and technologies.
  • Evaluate and implement new writing tools as needed.
  • Onboard mixed-role employees and allocate writers to projects.
  • Optimize writing and scriptwriting processes.
  • Coordinate rate negotiations and approvals.
  • Assist in recruitment and onboarding.
  • Develop a unified onboarding system for new hires.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration within the Hub.
  • Train scriptwriter supervisors/producers as needed.
  • Implement strategies to minimize turnover and increase tenure.
  • Establish a feedback system for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and support promising talent within the department.


  • 2-3 years of experience in creative writing, content creation, and team leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Expertise in storytelling and scriptwriting.
  • Proficiency in script editing and critique.
  • Genre flexibility.
  • Industry knowledge.
  • Excellent command of English; additional languages a plus.
  • Market research skills.
  • Recruitment and employee development experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
